A U.S. Senate employee Aidan Maese-Czeropski was terminated after a sexually explicit video with his participation was leaked online. This became the reason for initiating a law enforcement investigation. The 24-year-old aid to Democratic Maryland Senator Ben Cardin was featured in the video engaging in anal intercourse in a judiciary hearing room. The person holding the camera captured various angles of the encounter in an area where Senators typically sit. Upon discovering the connection to Senator Cardin, the staffer’s termination was confirmed.
Maese-Czeropski addressed the controversy in a message on his deleted LinkedIn profile, citing challenges and criticisms related to personal relationships and political agendas. He expressed commitment to his job and refuted attempts to portray his actions differently. Most of his social media pages have been cleared.
Capitol Police are investigating to determine if any laws were violated.
